Successful overnight trip. Camped in upper bivvy basin.
A pleasant trip although we turned around at about 6400'; good local views but clouds obscured more distant peaks.
This is a worthwhile alpine climb / scramble in a rugged area near Snoqualmie Pass, and doable as a day trip if you move quickly.
A long slog to a short, but interesting scramble involving some snow, loose rock and good rock.
Pleasant scramble with moderate temperatures, a cooling breeze and few bugs.
Bike + Hike to Top 100 peak via Westside Road and St. Andrews Creek trail
Foggy and wet upon arrival at 8:30 AM. We did Plummer and Denman hoping the weather would improve but no such luck, we went home early and had a piece of pie at the Copper Creek Inn.
3 day trip up Kautz via Comet Falls with a carry over descent of the DC route
This was posted as a 3 day - midweek leisurely trip to avoid the crowds at Tuck & Robin Lakes. We took an entire day to summit Granite, S Granite and Trico.
Two day climb of Mt Shuksan/Fisher Chimneys 8/11 & 8/12/17
Trail (brush recently cut back), creek crossing and upper slopes were in great shape. Snow present but could be avoided if needed.
Great 3 day climb with a very strong group. Mix of rain forest, scrambling, glacier, and rock climb.
Excellent trail, passes through many ecosystems. Flowers were numerous and the weather fine except for some haze from the B.C. fires.
Nice scramble..Can't believe I have been doing hikes and scrambles off of I-90 for 20+ years and yet never really thought about this one. I think I'd like to come back sometime in October for some nice high alpine colors!
The end of the rain streak unhappily coincided with the climbing portion of our trip.
We slipped into the break between hot, smoky conditions and rain yesterday for a very pretty scramble to Rampart Ridge.
Bugs! Alternate campsite w/Privy and running water.
Surprisingly fun easy scramble close to town.
A delightful trip for a hot day. Lovely trail with shade, cool tunnels, berries and historical artifacts made for a easy and interesting day.
