Sunshine with snow flurries made for a fun day out in the Teanaway
Successful hike up to B-17 wreckage on a quite cool day. Rhodies were in bloom and the group was impressed with the wreckage. Trail is in good condition.
There was minimal amount of snow. Only one person used his ice axe, because he varied off the route slightly from the rest of the group.

The trail is well maintained, very little brush. Some exposed roots. Beautiful view of Baring Mountain. Lots of camp sites.

The trail is in good condition. forecast said rain, but we had a sunny and dry hike.

Climbs of Mount Deception and Mount Mystery in early June 2018. Steep snow on both climbs using multiple pickets for running belay. Cornice to get over on Mount Deception. Base for both climbs was Royal Lake.
It's an awesome hike/climb with stunning views and interesting ridge walk/scramble for my first time as assistant leader. So much fun watching students smile making their first ascent.
Terrific early June snow scramble. A lot of snow along the Wonderland has melted out but there is plenty of snow left to allow good kick steps.
