A pleasant evening hike in the woods of Cougar Mountain.
On a hot day, most of the students completed their final scrambling requirement for the course.
Great trip, bluebird day on a very quiet Friday, just us and 2 skiers in the area all day. We went through Knapsack pass and then through Spray Park on the return on the Wonderland Trail. A long warm day 10.5 hrs car to car. Parking lot was full on our return.
We had good weather and lots of bats were seen around dusk. An added plus was the large number of nesting cormorants that we heard and saw on the way.
~9 miles 3,300 feet 10:46:29 Snow firm in the morning but soft in afternoon. Watch out for post holes and snow bridges.
beautiful day for a hike, all did well, including an extra effort.
Climbed in Peshastin Pinnacle State Park.
Awesome scramble with ideal route conditions. Steep snow section on upper slope, 8600-8800' elevation only required crampons and ice ax.
A pleasant hike in the woods with a view (Far Country Lookout) and a little water (Far Country Falls and Coal Creek Falls).
3-day climb of Glacier Peak on a perfect weather window for a bluebird summit day! Gaia's recorded track gave us 34.8 miles and 10,427 ft of gain over the 3 days.
Strenuous. Sunshine. Spectacular.
Very difficult to achieve the true summit
A successful day in Leavenworth with a strong group of students and rope leads.
