Clockwise trip around Indian Island, starting and ending from Port Hadlock.
Great hike with interesting views and, of course, the Museum!
12 peak traverse. We added one from the official lists that only say 11. And did the technical rock climb routes on Unicorn and Castle and climbed the 4th class gully on Lane instead of the scramble route (not exactly on purpose).
Not easy to reach the old lookout site. Was actually a low level scramble to get there. Solitude and extraordinary views.
Early start to avoid thunderstorms that never appeared. Route to ourselves until late morning when we were on rappels
The best conditions I have had on Sahale Peak, despite the scary weather forecast.
A pleasant hike past popular Mason Lake to less visited Island Lake. Crowds at Mason Lake but few people past it. Great group and good weather with some mud and bugs.
The mountain views on this hike were magnificent. Our hike leader was knowledgeable about the hike and the history of fire lookouts in Washington State.

Great class this year! all students were involved and enthusiastic and were understanding why the stroke class two weeks earlier were important. We did have a student show up late, I did mention to them that an email was sent out to everyone that we would be ready to be on the water at 9am. Fortunately things did work out. If this trend continues with participants showing up late they will be left at the beach. Im not sure why the link I sent in an email for location took some to a different location but they figured it out.
Students got a lot out of the class. Did have one student show up late. They showed up at the on the water time and we ended up waiting for them as they got ready. This would make a huge difference if this was tide dependent.
One day activity. Crevasses above Meany Crest. Route in excellent shape.
A 4-day (5 nights) 40 miles and 14,000 ft traverse from Pole Creek Trailhead to Three Creek Lake Trail head with ascents of Middle, South and Broken Top along the way. Two nights camping at the base of the Middle Sister by Soap Creek, then a day of backpacking to Green lakes and two nights there. One day climb of South Sister via the East Climber’s Route and then a carry-over climb of Broken Top followed by a long traverse on the north side of Broken Top to connect to the Tam McArthur Rim Trail and descend back to Three Creek lake.
Excellent one-day Basic-level trip to tag multiple summits in the Tatoosh range. 7.5hr car-to-car with a relatively fast group. Fantastic views of Mt. Rainier and south Cascades on a clear day.
After hours conditioning loop hike below the summit
This was a nice trip to two summits that are among the 200 highest in Washington. There were good views of other nearby summits as well as some of the peaks across Lake Chelan, but clouds obscured the more distant views.
4 day basic glacier climb for Tacoma Basic Climbing Course.
