Pitch #2 sucks. Successful climb though.

We had a great trip. We skied 9 miles and enjoyed good weather. There were a few spots where we needed to remove our skis and walk but for the most part, the skiing was good.
Conditions were "in" for this climb. The climb is not over until you get back to the cars!
Ski traverse of the Garibaldi Neve route. No summit of Garibaldi due to conditions.
2-day ski traverse of the Enchantments in winter. From Snow Lake to Colchuck Lake trailheads.
6 hours car-to-car; dust on crust and variable snow.
Perfect powder, 13 hours car-to-car. Thick bushwhack and a Cascade classic!
Our group braved a winter storm warning to look for the best access to scramble the NE ridge.
Better than forecasted weather. Lower trail some mud puddles, no trees over trail. With Rainer closed the parking lot filled up later in the day but most people on our way out.
A pretty tough 16-hour day with non-stop strong winds virtually all the way through, spindrift in the eyes, and an occasional apple- to grapefruit-sized cannonball to dodge. Practiced placing sketchy pro in rime ice and not-so-well consolidated snow. Miraculously managed not to get blown off the ridge, and finished up DKH V2 with a version of the Wy'East crux traverse that ended up being a tad more sketchy than it needed to be.
We hiked in Hamlin Park ,South Woods Park , and the Burke-Gilman Trail . Stairways to Cedar Park ,the Burke-Gilman Trail , and in Hamlin Park were included.
