Canyoning
Hungry Bear is a fun intermediate canyon boasting an exciting 2-pitch 200' waterfall complete with a rooster tail. This canyon is v4a3 at moderate flows.
Snowshoeing
Hurricane Hill is a moderately easy, 6 mile snowshoe hike with 1,650 feet of elevation gain. On the hike you'll go through scenic alpine meadows and forests and end up on the hill with some of the best views of Mount Olympus.
Day Hiking
A moderate 3 mile day hike with 650 feet of elevation gain up to rocky open ridge with views of the Elwha Valley, sometimes even Mount Baker.
Scrambling
A moderate to strenuous scramble on the west side of Glacier Peak Wilderness, 8 miles and 3,500 feet of elevation gain.
Backcountry Skiing & Snowshoeing
Tromp in the snow in the area surrounding the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center, a great place for an easy snowshoe trip or ski tour.

From Hyak, Nordic Pass, Windy Pass, Mount Catherine and Hyak Lake, are easy to moderate snowshoe or scramble trips near Snoqualmie Pass.
Climbing
A popular climbing destination near Bozeman, Montana. It's home to the Bozeman Ice Festival and some of the world's best water ice climbing.
Backpacking, Day Hiking & Scrambling
Backpack to and scramble the second highest peak in eastern Oregon's Wallowa Mountains and Eagle Cap Wilderness. This white limestone peak is perched along the Hurwal Divide with its west face towering 4,000 feet above the Hurricane Creek valley. It is 18 miles round trip and 5,300 feet of elevation gain and approached from the east via the Ice Lake Trail, a nice destination in its own right. A climber's boot track leads most of the way to the summit.
Day Hiking
An easy day hike on the southern tip of the San Juan's Lopez Island. It's a short loop across grassy bluffs with breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains. Children and folks of all ages will enjoy this hike!
Cross-country Skiing & Snowshoeing
An easy road walk on Icicle Road allows snowshoers of any ability level to pick their own distance as the road gradually ascends the the Icicle Creek Valley. This route is the portion of Icicle Road near Leavenworth which is not plowed during the winter. Great views of Icicle Creek and surrounding peaks.
Day Hiking
A flat loop hike with beautiful views. Perfect for the younger kids! It only gains 150ft over 4.2 miles (roundtrip).
Day Hiking
An easier route up to Icicle Ridge than 4th of July Creek. It climbs 1,700 feet in 2.4 miles to reach the ridge. Once atop the ridge it's possible to continue along the ridge to extend your hike.
Scrambling & Snowshoeing
Icicle Ridge is a strenuous, 12-mile round trip snowshoe with 4,400 ft in elevation gain. The hike is steepest at the start, switchbacking through dense forest. The panoramic views at the ridge include the Chelan Range and Glacier Peak to the north and the Stuart Range and Mount Cashmere to the south. Make it a winter scramble by continuing on up to Point 7029.
Bikepacking
A strenuous 180 mile gravel bike route with 12,000 feet of elevation gain. The proximity to hot springs makes this area unique and rewarding at the end of a long day of bicycling.
Day Hiking, Urban Adventure & Urban Walking
This area in Kitsap County between Bremerton and Silverdale was once destined to be a housing development. It was preserved through the work of local service groups, citizens, county officials and preservationists. The trails are very well maintained and signed at every junction. The heavily canopied trails make a great rainy day walk.
Illahee State Park is an 86-acre marine camping and day use park with saltwater frontage along the Port Orchard Bay across from Bainbridge Island. The park features a Veteran's war memorial and the last stands of old-growth trees in Kitsap County.
Sea Kayaking
Paddle around the southwest tip of Washington state where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. It's a challenging sea kayaking trip that is one of our Olympia Branch's "Riptides and Rapids" paddles.

An easy-access scenic Basic Canyon located along Kachess Lake. It's rated v3a3III at moderate-low water levels, and v3a4III in early to mid-season.
