Route in excellent condition. All climbers summited.
Snow on approach past 5400'. The climb itself is in good shape.
Snow on the approach from 3900'. Snow all the way up they gully to the summit, with a couple feet of ice/snow mix at the top.
Fast-changing snow conditions over a sunny Memorial Day weekend. Roman Wall was in fine shape.
Good tread and very well signed trail. Pkg lot fills up by 8:30am on wknds but trail never seemed crowded. Dogs w/people are more common by afternoon and the stupid poop bags started appearing on the way out.
Bean Creek Basin backpack 2 nights with day trips up to Bean Peak. Lot's of wildflowers, great campsites. Many peaks to climb and ridges to walk. Views of Stuart mountain range absolutely stunning.
Great rock and snow scramble trip to Bean and Devils Head. Weather was rainy and windy at first but eventually cleared after we were halfway back to the trailhead.
Turned around near the summit do to shallow, extremely soft snow on slick rock with some exposure.

We headed up Fri/Sat to climb due to weather coming in, had a wonderful climb although the view was cloudy!
Everyone made the lake and back to the cars without incident, despite the wet, humid weather. There was some confusion with my attachment with the directions, my fault.

4 Mountaineers, on a private climb, attained the summit via the SE Ridge (shouldn't this page be re-named Sharkfin Tower/SE Ridge?).
