Great scramble, views and wild flowers with a very nice group of students.
I found this an excellent time to visit the trail. The wildflowers were on display, the temperatures were enjoyable, but the snow and rivers were manageable.
Caroline is an excellent viewpoint, but it's a lot of work getting there and back.

A challenging late-season climb. The route is still passable but barely.
A classic introduction to the Pickets.
Fun trip, straight forward route, in good condition
The wildflowers are at their peak right now and trail conditions are perfect.
Mountaineers backpack trip to Esmeralda Basin, Gallagher Head Lake, and De Roux Creek, with a side trip to Lake Ann. Overnight camp on the spur trail to Lake Ann.
Route condition was in great shape. Rain prevented us from continuing to the summit
Fun one day climb of Sahale, up Quien Sabe and down the Sahale Arm.
Great scramble and ski to summit with great views. Good ski down.
Perfect conditions for an Intro to Rock Gardening Class
The route is in. Approach/walkoff has snow, consider boots and ice axes.
7 hours of cheerfulness in the Buckhorn Wilderness
Judi-Mary-Bean High Traverse - Sat. July 15, 2017: One slower party member was escorted down from the Mary-Bean saddle by the assistant leader, but did achieve Rock Scramble credit for summiting Judi Peak via the SW scree field/rock ribs route. The remainder of the party completed the traverse from Judi to Mary and from Mary to Bean (and exit via upper Bean Basin and the Bean Creek Trail) in exemplary fashion. There is little to no snow remaining on or around any of the Bean Basin peaks. The crossings of Beverly and Bean Creeks are inconsequential.
