Very scenic route. There are no public launch sites along this stretch of Hood Canal, requiring that the party use an unofficial launch site in Dewatto and a final destination in Holly that is private, with prior owner consent.

A gorgeous and strenuous ~6000'/15 mile loop with tons of variety: cross country travel, water falls, sweeping glacial views, a bit of rock scrambling, with great plunge stepping and a comfy trail for descent.
Warning! Pilchuck is currently a Class 1 snow and rock scramble until the snow melts out.
