Toured at Crystal instead due to low snowpack at Snoqualmie
It was a fun hike. We started early at 7:30am, and made it to the top in 2 hours. It was icy and cold at the top (30 deg F). A little slippery but we did not need spikes.
A wet & snowy day for a rarely done trip in the Middle Fork valley
A rainy scramble of Florence and Sweet Peak that was much more fun than staying inside!
A scenic route that has much to offer even in relatively foul weather.
A pleasant walk through QA, visiting several parks and smaller green spaces. We took all the stairs we found, for as much elevation gain as possible.
Not enough visibility to see Tahoma, but still a great day of snowshoeing!
Low snow coverage and crust made challenging skiing -- but we had a good workout
Fun evening; warmer then expected temperatures resulted in clearing skies under the nearly full moon.
A successful winter ascent of Mount Hood, up via the Pearly Gates and down the Old Chute.
Great trip around Commonwealth Basin. We didn’t go up to Red Pass due to avalanche danger, but it was still a great trip.
A loop trip to Lizard Lake, Lily Lake and the high point in the Chuckanuts.
West Granite scramble and (almost) Pratt proved to be a great safe plan B for a day with winter weather and considerable avalanche danger advisories.
Moonlit views of First Top from Pt 4795 on a very strenuous loop of ~5800’ gain and ~11 miles.
Delightful snowshoe trip through a magical land of deep snow. Too bad the clouds obscured any views.
