Still lots of snow on the approach. Consider Ice Ax, Mountaineering Boots +/- crampons. Turned around prior to Trap Pass due to footing.
This was a very enjoyable long scramble. Although clouds limited our views somewhat, what we could see was spectacular.

Adventurous loop hike in the Teanaway. Two fords of Ingalls Creek and 50' of scrambling below Longs Pass.
Only completed Fay and Pleasant as Hessong Rock was too socked in and the west side of the slope was completely snow covered with an unacceptable runout.
Enjoyed a wonderful hike on Independence Day with a great group! Weather was perfect with spectacular views of Mt. Rainier from Grand Park and an abundance of wildflowers along the way. Thanks again Donna Kreuger for leading this hike!

Colchuck Peak via Colchuck glacier and col. Done in one twelve-hour day but with most participants having arrived at the trailhead the previous evening.

Our scramble of Pratt was pleasant and straightforward. It was a cloudy day, but most of the clouds were high enough that views were not obscured.
We saw a wide range of plant species, and some butterflies and birds too!
