Fun trip with strong group that ticked majority of Olympics todos
Why do The Tooth under ideal, sunny conditions like everyone else when you can suffer a little like a true Mountaineer? The Tooth is a forgiving place with solid rock that dries remarkably fast. The approach is another matter with fast thinning snow and suspicious snow bridges.
Pleasant weather and a strong group made this a super fun hike!
not much snow to walk on until basin ~5800' . as usual, less snow down low equals more time and more energy required.
We had a nice evening and welcomed Paul to the Mountaineers. A little bit of rain but sunny skies at the top.
A good trip. Perfect hiking temps, few other hikers, tread excellent and no bugs.
Teanaway Peak is one of many outstanding viewpoints in the area, but in a low snow year it may not be an ideal peak for a field trip.
Two 5.8 crack pitches at the beginning warmed us up for a few more cracks, a couple run out slab sections, a 5.7 pair of off-widths, and never-ending exposure and views across the North Cascades.
(repost from last year for a related route/place) An extremely interesting (and strenuous) traverse with an intense variety of terrain, plant life, and geology: the hidden valley on the northern aspect of Tamanos, the unique conditions below the stagnant Sarvant Glacier, the brilliant colors around the Cowlitz Chimney peaks, and the expansive meadows west of Banshee (with Summerland as a bonus).
Need a variety of skills and some luck with conditions to tag this one. Stunning views.
Eldorado is a wonderful basic alpine climb for the aspiring alpinist.

This was a laid-back and fun backpack up a beautiful valley. It's a great early-season trip.
