One-night student backpack on Thunder Creek trail - a lush forest trail, abundant spring wildflowers and a few mountain views
We ascended from Ingalls Pass and descending to Longs Pass taking a moderate/slow pace with time to enjoy the great views. A few snow patches past the Ingalls/Longs trail junction but the ridge from Ingalls to Not Hinkhouse was dry.
Great weather to start. Sat in a cloud at the top. 9am-4pm trip with no issues.
Beautiful day with great views and wildflowers.
Excellent Ski day after resceduling in hopes of more favorable weather -- which paid off with clear skies and just enough breeze to avoid sweltering and mushy conditions.
My first climb of the 50 Classics. Definitely lived up to the name.
Snow bridge over Bean Creek is no longer safe. Summitted Bean and then traversed over to the upper slope of Mary and a very broad expanse of snow. All snow fast dissapearing.
The Olympia Branch CHS students hiked Harrie's Ridge - what a glorious day of mountains, wildlife, and flowers.
Enjoyable scramble with beautiful views and some good glissade opportunities this time of the year. The only crux is making sure you find the "key ramp."
Successful summit of the Tooth in mid-June but in like May conditions.
Naturalist trip full of flowers. A lovely 3+ mile hike with 500 feet of elevation gain with excellent opportunities to see flowers, trees and birds of the "East of the Cascades".
a 99% off trail adventure of rock and snow in mid June
Beautiful but damp single-night student backpack in the Olympics.
Baker Lake East Bank trail north to south trailheads open and cleared of fallen trees.
Relaxed early season backpack with gentle elevation gain and beautiful wildflowers.
Stunning views! Probably better to do early season when brush is snow covered.
