Successful Tacoma CHS hike to the Lower Gray Wolf River. All participants did well and enjoyed the hike.
A little damp to start, but the rain let up shortly after starting. The forest is saturated with green from the moss, salmonberry and new maple leaves. The river was quite high. The trail wasn't too busy for a weekend.
This was a CHS hike for the Olympia Branch. We lucked out by avoiding Thursday's rain and then Friday afternoon's rain and were even rewarded with some sunshine and blue skies.
Cancelled due to massive rockfall event on 6/5/22.
Switched from Tamanos, both to avoid wet rock at the top, and to shorten the trip so as to try to finish before the forecast atmospheric river dumped on us. Not a bad trip with a few views below the clouds, but it did rain for much of the descent.
Great day on Unicorn peak capitalizing on a short weather window

A weeklong outing for some first-timers in the Valley with a side trip to Lover's Leap on the way back.
We began this trip with a mediocre weather forecast. Our student majority scramble lead to proactive and safe decision making in the face of some legitimate snow scramble hazards. The weather turned out much better than expected and the only downside was crummy snow conditions that made us work harder for the summit!
Our goal was 1250’/hr. We started a bit fast, then backed off. Up the old trail down the new. A great day to be out. It was very wet at times.
Snow Scramble Traverse of Foss Peak from Snow Lake TH to Reflection Lakes (exit at Pinnacle TH)
Nice day of sailing before the rain came back in.
A gorgeous late-spring day with an early start, good conditions and fantastic views.
Enjoyable hike through Many Creeks Valley.
This hike offers a solid climb for conditioning and so much more. Two water falls, three water crossings and a stellar view of the White River valley and that was just the first two miles.
The original plan was to do Snoqualmie, but the stream crossing didn't look safe, so we retreated and did Guye instead. Snow conditions were good, but not much in the way of views.
