The Camino Frances pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela is the most popular and well-traveled route of the Camino de Santiago, and coupled with the Camino Finisterre and Camino Muxia out to to and along the Atlantic coast in Galicia, allows hikers to experience the diverse landscapes, rich history and culture of this UNESCO World Heritage area. This route not only offers moderate physical challenge, but provides a unique opportunity for personal growth, self-discovery, and reflection as well. The length of the typical daily stages range from 9 to 18 miles, but alternate overnight options are available and taxi transport can easily be found to shorten a day or take you further. Comfortable private en-suite lodgings as well as inexpensive hostels are available for the night all along the way, so you only need to carry a daypack. The trail is well-marked, welcoming both long-distance trekkers and day hikers.

Hobuck Beach and Neah Bay are on the very tip of the Washington's Olympic Peninsula. There are launch points for sea kayaking along the coast, and it's a great place to practice kayak surf techniques. The beach and trail to Cape Flattery are great day hikes, especially for families with young children.The Makah Tribe has a resort and campground at the beach with over 500 camp sites.

Over the course of 60 years, Holden Village has been transformed from a copper mining town to a vibrant place of education, programming, and worship. And it's a great base camp for adventures in the Washington's North Cascade Mountains.

Day Hiking & Trail Running
Enjoy an easy day hike in one, two or all of these hidden jewels of Hood Canal. Near Brinnon, Dosewallips State Park has over 5 miles of hiking or trail running with glimpses of the Dosewallips River, Hood Canal and relics of the logging days. Ranger Hole and Murhut Falls are easy day hikes to a isolate fishing hole and 130-foot waterfall down a dark chasm, respectively. Near Quilcene, Falls View Canyon and Rocky Brook Falls are also easy days hikes.
