A short, steep, heavily rooted, and rocky 4-mile trail with 1,200 feet of elevation gain off the beaten path of the Mountain Loop Highway. It's a challenging hike on the quieter eastern flank of Mount Pilchuck to a pretty alpine lake with some great views along the way. This is a good hike to flex your navigation skills and keep them sharp.

From the Narada Falls Trailhead, Castle-Pinnacle Saddle is a strenuous, 6-mile snowshoe or ski trip with 1,400 feet of elevation gain in the Tatoosh Range of Mount Rainier National Park. The route leads up past Reflection Lake and goes through a wide open bowl to the saddle between the two peaks. For climbers it's on to a winter ascent of Pinnacle Peak or The Castle.

Trails from the north and south side climb 1,000 feet through mixed forests to the site of an old fire outlook on the summit. Pinnacle Peak, also known locally as Mount Peak and Mount Pete, offers views of Mount Rainier and the White River Valley.

A scenic hike to the summit of a former lookout site among the Poet peaks. There are great views of North Cascade peaks and wildflower fields. Both approaches are about the same length, but the one from Little Wenatchee Ford is steeper and has more elevation gain. From Poe Mountain, Longfellow Mountain is a moderate scramble on Poet Ridge. From Irving Pass scramble the rarely climbed Irving Peak.
