Scrambling
Easy scrambling with 13 miles round trip and and 2,800 feet of elevation gain to a fine viewpoint northwest of Cutthroat Pass. This is a particularly lovely trip in the fall when the larches have turned a brilliant gold.
Backpacking
Pear Lake is a moderate, 12 mile round trip backpack trip with 2,600 ft in elevation gain. The trail switchbacks up steeply before continuing onto the lake, going through steep meadows and old growth forests.
Sea Kayaking & Urban Adventure
The pool at Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor is great for kayak practice sessions.
Penrose Point is a richly forested 237-acre marine park with nearly 2 miles of Puget Sound shoreline, 2-1/2 miles of trails, overnight moorage, picnic sites and a shady campground, make this park an excellent destination for both relaxation and adventure!

A moderate to strenuous hike depending on whether your destination is Perry Creek Falls or the alpine meadows below Mount Forgotten.
Climbing
Located east of Leavenworth on Highway 2, Peshastin Pinnacles State Park is a 34-acre day-use park with rock climbing and 1.5 miles of steep hiking trails.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
The hike to Pete Lake is an easy 4.5 miles with 450 feet of elevation gain and is essentially a continuation of the Cooper River Trail near Snoqualmie Pass. The trail begins in deep forest, with close views of the river during the early stretch. For a backpacking trip, continue on to Spectacle Lake just off the the Pacific Crest Trail.

The Kirkland Community Senior Center better known as the Peter Kirk Community Center is an Eastside meeting place that has a 150-person multi-purpose room, and meeting rooms accommodating 16 to 32 guests.

Sea Kayaking
A passage in South Puget Sound that separates Mason County from Hartstene and Squaxin Islands. Extending 8.5 nm north to south, it offers many opportunities to explore in a sea kayak. It is notable for flowing north on the ebb and south on a flood, providing current-assisted trips for the careful planner. It can be accessed from Arcadia, Latimer Landing, and Fair Harbor, and inlets to visit include Jarrell Cove State Park, McLean, and Pirate Coves at the northern end.

A great area off the Boulder Garden Loop Trail for rappelling, belay and rescue practice.
Day Hiking & Photography
A short loop hike around the lake that is ideal for photographing sunrises and sunsets and Mount Shuksan's reflection in it. This small lake often has grey jays and other northwest birds, as well as huckleberries in the fall.
Scrambling
Pigeon has a long approach and then a very brushy and slow traverse. There is not much of a view the peak is merely a flat treed ridge with a steep cliff at the end. It is considered to be the worst peak of the 100 Rainier Peaks.
