Successful, more or less. Two people decided to head back to the cars, once we reached the junction with the Lost Lake trail. The rest of us decided turn around after another hour. It was growing late, we had the drive back to Seattle ahead of us, and lots of mosquitoes pestered us.

Successful summit to Cowboy mountain. Turned around on our attempt to Big chief due to snow and route conditions. Experienced group, great group work. Excellent glissade and quick and safe trip

We parked at Narada Falls and walked in on the bare road to Reflection Lakes and started out on snowshoes. The cooling in the weather made for great snow conditions, we gained the ridge just east of the Castle. From there we dropped down on the south side of the ridge, came up at the basin at the base of Foss and proceeded to the summit. We got lucky with the weather, we had some snow, low clouds and filtered sunshine, one of the driest trips I've had since the fall. All students did great.

A very pleasant scramble, although visibility was poor and glissading conditions weren't great. Fortunately, the freezing level was low, so all the precipitation was snow.

April snowshoe on 5 meters (15 feet) of snow in the Paradise area. The volunteers who maintain the trail markers had removed the markers just for us. The challenge was appreciated by us but not by those who had little experience finding the way. We got up to Inspiration saddle and returned in excellent conditions.
