Perfect conditions for a winter scramble to enjoy amazing views from Vesper. Firm snow blanketing the route from the approach to Headlee Pass to the summit.
Great day at the pass, max ebb of 6.2k in the main pass at 2.15 allowed us plenty of time to play and learn skills. Added a circumnavigation of Deception Island on the way back to Bowman Bay, well worth it if conditions allow.
Gorgeous Fall weather, a strong group and trails in perfect condition.
Although posted as a winter scramble, we did not encounter any snow. Nice route that's kind of a loop and gets one away from the road noise faster.
Love Amabilis! Difficult but with a scenic payoff at the summit.
Interesting route for snowshoers, with great views on top. Snowmobilers like the top of Microwave Hill too!
Beautiful views and just enough snow to remind you that WINTER IS COMING! Scramble basically became a fun snowy hike.
Nice and easy scramble year round and not far from Seattle. Especially nice when you want a change from the usual I-90 scrambles on the west side. Must go to Crater Lake Mtn as zero views from Blowdown Mtn.
