Climbing
A popular three or four pitch climb with a short approach, two 5.5 moves but mostly easy climbing, a real chockstone chimney, and great scrambling. Scenic views of Liberty Bell and the North Cascades. Snow melts off rock early so climb can be done shortly after Highway 20 is opened in the spring. Times: 5-7 hr trailhead to summit. A great first alpine rock climb.

Backpacking
Hike a challenging 36+ miles with nearely 6,000 feet of elevation gain in Oregon's Wallowa Mountains and Eagle Cap Wilderness. Visit the "blue hole" and travel over Hawkins Pass to Frazier Lake with mountains rising up on both sides of the trail. The trailhead at 4,580 ft is accessible earlier than much of the Wallowa area.

Ice climbing in the South Fork Shoshone River valley, about one hour drive from Cody, Wyoming featuring over 70 named ice climbs. Offers a variety of reliable single and multi-pitch climbs in an alpine-like setting.
Canyoning
A fun, splashy canyon with lots of swimming and waterpark features such as jumps and slides up to 20 feet (all optional). This half-day descent culminates in a scenic 100-foot rappel down Franklin Falls, a popular destination for waterfall enthusiasts. This canyon is usually run in August and September when it is rated v3a4 III.

A long sea kayak trip in the Puget Sound from Olympia to Steilacoom. Paddle through Budd Inlet, past Boston Harbor, through Dana Passge, past Johnson Point and the southern tip of Harstene Island, across Nisqually Reach, past Devils Head around the north shore of Anderson Island and past Eagle Island on route to Steilacoom.
Sea Kayaking
Kayak through Totten Inlet, past Steamboat, Hope and Squaxin Islands, through Dana Passage past Harstene Island, past Johnson Point and Devil’s Head. Choose to go north or south around Anderson Island to land at Steilacoom.
Scrambling
A 13-mile scramble with nearly 5,000 feet of gain to 10,358 feet in Oregon's Three Sisters Wilderness. From the summit, enjoy dramatic views of Broken Top, Middle Sister, North Sister, Mount Bachelor and on a clear day Mount Jefferson and Mount Hood. The mountain also contains one of the highest alpine lakes in the northwest.

A moderate scramble of 12 miles with 2,500 feet of elevation gain. It can be done as an out-and-back trip or a traverse. Enjoy spectacular and changing views much of the way, and wildflowers which are abundant in late summer.
