Travel through mature forest, an open valley, and the subalpine meadows of Summerland with spectacular views of Mount Rainier and Little Tahoma, and then to an even more spectaular highpoints surrounded by crevassed glaciers.

Cross-country Skiing
We will ski from Crystal Springs 7 miles roundtrip with 700 feet of elevation gain and arrive at Meany Lodge in time for a hot lunch. We will explore some of the nordic trails at Erling Stordahl and the sled dog trails. Most of the route is intermediate but there is a steep section closer to Meany Lodge with most of the elevation gain. This can be done skis off if need be.
