Scrambling
A strenuous scramble a few miles east of Stevens Pass to a summit with outstanding views. It's 8 miles round trip and 4,800 feet of elevation gain.

Hike along this moderately strenuous, wild and beautiful section of Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Trail from the Middle Fork Trailhead to Dutch Miller Gap. It's 22 miles one-way and 3,600 feet of elevation gain which offer a wide variety of day hiking and backpacking options that range from easy to strenuous. Enjoy good views of Mount Garfield and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness along the way.

A moderate hike with lots of stream crossings that is best done later in the season and in hot weather. Hike upriver from 4 to as many as 14 miles or make a loop trip with other nearby trails. The Middle Fork Teanaway Trail is open to motorcycles, and though lightly traveled because of the stream crossings, it it better to hike it midweek to avoid them.
Climbing
A beautiful, moderate alpine volcano climb in the Three Sisters Wilderness of central Oregon. Enjoy spectacular view of nearby volcanic peaks in the Sisters and Bend area. Consider a traverse that includes North Sister, South Sister and/or Broken Top.

Middle Teton is the third-highest peak in the Teton Range within Grand Teton National Park. Immediately southwest of its better-known sibling, it is known for its classic alpine shape and the prominent black dike on its face, it offers routes ranging from non-technical scrambles to challenging technical climbs.

A challenging day hike to picturesque lakes beneath the Sawtooth range. This route does have lots of roots and rocks with some ups and downs both ways. It's 9 miles round trip and 2,500 feet of elevation gain.

A moderate backpack through the beautiful West Lostine River Valley in Oregon's Eagle Cap Wilderness. It ascends to Minam Lake through forests, lush meadows filled with wildflowers and butterflies, along meandering and cascading stream, and below the craggy Wallowa Mountains. It's 11.6 miles round trip with 1,800 feet of elevation gain.

Mineral Butte is a scramble with 5,255 feet of gain near Mount Index.
Canyoning
A gorgeous intermediate canyon (v3a4III) that makes for a fun and relatively short day.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
Hike or backpack to Park Lakes in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. From there head north for south on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) for great views. It's also possible to start at the Kachess Lake Campground for an enjoyable hike along the lake.
Scrambling
A moderate scramble with a long approach, 25 miles and 5,500 feet of elevation gain, to a lesser-known peak on the north side of Mount Rainier.

A multi-day trip to the famed Image Lake area with a scramble of 7870-foot Plummer Mountain east of the lake. The approach along the Suiattle River is long but beautiful. It's 35 miles rounf trip with 6,400 feet of elevation gain.
