Day Hiking
A very strenuous hike from Multnomah Falls on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge to Sherrard Point on Larch Mountain. Enjoy many waterfalls, old growth forest, and nice views of Mount Hood at the top. It's a steady climb of 4,000 feet and 14 miles round trip.
Backpacking
A strenuous 52 mile backpack with approximately 7,000 feet of total elevation gain. If done as a five-day trip, longest single day is 12 miles and 2,200 feet elevation. The Pasaytan skirts Canada'a border and includes beautiful open country with views of rolling meadows and surrounding peaks. Late July is typically the peak of the wildflower season.
A park with 8,100 feet of saltwater shoreline on Samish Bay near Bellingham. The park is primarily forested with coniferous trees and dense woodland vegetation. It has marshlands, wetlands, streams, lakes, and Chuckanut Mountain. The area is known for chuckanut sandstone and Chuckanut Drive.
Day Hiking
A strenuous, 5-mile round trip trail hike to the summit of the southern-most Cascade Volcano. The trail to the summit gains almost 2,000 feet. A four year “Reach the Peak” trail restoration project was completed in 2014 to improve and restore this historic trail in California's Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Laughingwater Creek-Three Lakes is a strenuous, 12 mile in-and-out day hike with 2,800 ft in elevation gain. The trail goes above the creek through old-growth forests to some secluded lakes.

Hike up and down city streets and stairs from the University of Washington's Center for Urban Horticulture to Lake Washington and return in a grand loop.

A moderate hike through a canyon formed by a lava flow on the southeast corner of Mount St. Helens. You'll cross a suspension bridge and climb a ladder to a viewpoint to see thunderous cascading waterfalls.

Day Hiking, Family, Naturalist & Urban Walking
A 155-acre park with a mix of developed areas for sports and gatherings along with walking trails. There are four miles of primarily flat and maintained trails through an urban forest. The park has an active stewardship group, Friends of LBA Woods, focused on restoration of wildlife habitat and guiding the development of trails through the woods.

Day Hiking
We will travel along the trail system of Leadbetter State Park to the edge of the Willapa Nat'l Wildlife Refuge. Terrain will be highly variable and could be quite squishy/muddy/flooded. 2.5mph, negligible elevation gain. We will be walking on sand for quite a while, please bring supportive footwear (ankle).

A rock climber's playground and training facility! Enjoy crag climbing along Icicle Creek and in Tumwater Canyon, both just outside of Leavenworth on Highway 2.
Cross-country Skiing & Snowshoeing
The Leavenworth Winter Sports Club has 16 miles of gentle trails at four different locations near Leavenworth and the Icicle River suitable for cross-country skiers and for snowshoers of all levels. The easily accessible trails wind through a beautiful winter wonderland. In summer, there are six miles of trails through the forested slopes of the ski hill area with only 400 feet of elevation gain.
Canyoning
A stunning basic canyon located along the Skokomish. The creek walking is surprisingly less slippery than others, and the scenery is unbelievable. It's rated v3a4III at moderate-low water levels, and v3a5III in early to mid-season.
Day Hiking
A 4-acre park in Everett.
A set of five peaks along a ridge between Chikamin Peak and Chimney Rock, the main summit being the middle one. Camp at Spectacle Lake, Glacier Lake, or Chikamin Lake and scramble any of all of Lemah Mountain's peaks.

A moderate, 6-mile round trip day hike with 1,300 ft of elevation gain to the lower lake. The upper lake is more challenging and strenuous at 14 miles round trip with 4,100 feet of elevation gain. The trail goes up through forests above Lena Creek to a secluded lake. This is a beautiful sub-alpine lake formed by a massive rock slide 5,000 years ago. Continue on as far as Upper Lena for a longer, more challenging outing.
Scrambling
A strenuous scramble of 5 miles and 3,500 feet of elevation gain. It's 39th on peakbagger.com's "Home Court 100."
