Successful 2-day carry over on the Kautz ice route to the DC Cleaver.
Foggy, wet day made navigation challenging and Bushwhacking unpleasant
Successful 3 day climb of Boston, NF Buckner, and Horseshoe Peak. Route conditions right now are very favorable but the Cascade River Rd is closed at Eldorado TH.

A real nice sail to Kingston for lunch with brisk winds and sunny skies.
We changed to Mount Ruth due to the Mowich Lake road not being open until the following week. However we had a great time scrambling and skiing Mount Ruth.
Morning whiteout turned into a sunny summit.
Although drizzling and foggy, without any views, the route was beautiful with the verdant canopies and (slightly less than) moderate incline. Intermittent conversation with periods of solitude made for a perfect first hike in the Olympics.
Bike ride to Chenuis Falls TH. Hike to northern park boundary, scramble Tirzah peak continue out to Wallace Peak. Connect to the Northern Loop trail, return to the Carbon Road. Photo by Jerry Linde
Scramble to Lichtenberg via the NE ridge, dropping just below the summit traversing to the saddle on the SE ridge for our final approach.
Nice hike, really rough road, snow at lake, pack your ten essentials!
Foggy start to the first full day of summer, but views from second summit finally materialized.
A one-way trip from Granite Mountain along the ridge to Low Mountain and out Denny Creek Trail
This was an epic scramble with great summit views. A significant thunderstorm during the descent added "interest" to the trip.
Great workout, but minimal snow reduced the opportunities for practicing snow skills.
Planned trip for -3.1 low tide, hoping to see good tidal pools on Chuckanut Island. Unfortunately, turned around at 1.4 miles due to strong wind and high waves.
We shared the trail with about a million mosquitoes and finally had the summit to ourselves! Type 1 fun! 12.5 hours car to car, 1 mountain goat
We did the 9-mile loop. Trail is in good shape. Nice views of Puget Sound, Hood Canal, and Olympics.
