Wonderful evening hiking to a beautiful waterfall.
Good trip, strong partners up in 5 and half hours. Coming down was challenging due to icy and desire to avoid folks climbing the Pearly Gates.
The snow is almost entirely melted out except for the last steep section to reach the summit.
Very nice snow scramble, but too cloudy for ideal views.
Fun scramble on the rock up to the summit, then descended the steep snow on the north face and traversed back to the lower ridge approach trail.
We did a loop, scrambling up Granite first, then running the ridge to West Granite, then descending by way of Ollalie Lake. The much anticipated long glissades to Ollalie lake were stymied by a lack of snow.
Stellar day, clear skies, warm sunshine. Some very loose rock at the start.
Beautiful scramble , highly recommended for scramble students . This time of year rock/boulders/snow and bushwacking ,nerveless beautiful views.
Beautiful summit - the challenge is in the approach.
Ingraham Direct was the established standard route at the time of this trip.
Beginning at Seafarers Park in Anacortes, we crossed Guemes Channel, then around Casperson Point to Huckleberry Island where we had lunch. Due to physical limitations of one participant, we returned to Seafarers instead of going on to Saddlebag Island.
Launch from 10th Street Marina. Head south on the Snohomish River and north on Steamboat Slough. Return to launch via open water. A moderately long day paddling an interesting counter-clockwise loop in the Snohomish Estuary.
An incredibly gorgeous day for a scramble in the Teanaway Area.
Great weather, lots of wildlife, snow free
Great weather and group for a successful outing
Switched from original destination of Paradise Glacier due to party size, interest, and strength. Skis on at under 2.5 miles and found an on snow route from the campground that avoided the stream crossings and ant-line in the valley. Topped out about 1pm in front of the crowd. Skiing was great. Creamy snow down to the campground and slush to the transition point on the trail. Only a couple crevasses open. Many bizarre skintracks going back and forth across the entire glacier. Only saw one drone flying around.
Gorgeous day in the Teanaway! Plenty of sunshine but not too hot.
A successful and wonderful summit of Goat Island Mountain. Steep snow, easy bushwhacking, fun glissading.
