Another glorious sunset hike above, through, and past Lincoln Park to Lowman Park. This 4.1 miler had us lingering at the beach.
The Central Pacific Region of Costa Rica which encompasses a variety of habitats distributed in different zones of life from the ocean level up to 3000 ft. We explored the area to observe and take pictures of birds, plants, animals, insects and the food of the region.
A true back country scramble, which the pacific northwest can offer. With a total of 10 minutes on the trail, 4 hours of walking through tree falls, bushwhacking, snow under trees, opening up to a snow field, rock scramble and a mellow knife ridge finish at the end. Overall beautiful views and great trip.
Excellent conditions on a less-popular route.
Single push attempt up Gibraltar Ledges and down Ingraham Direct.
A great day of trail maintenance with WTA and the Mountaineers!
Awesome day that included the following: blue skys, cloudy skies, white out, no wind, slight breeze, gusts up to 45 mph, Corn, butter, sticky mashed potatoes, zero vis whiteout, ice cups, and pine forest carpet, with a snow/water/mud road ski ending!
Sunday May 5th we had a great sail in Port Gardner Bay with at least three Gray whales sited. Winds we perfect at 10 to 14 knots.
A pleasant, flower filled trip on a gorgeous Spring day.
Overnight private climb 5/3. Some route finding and a few fourth class moves that get your attention. This climb would get a lot more traffic if it were not for the approach.
Fantastic, but busy, hike to both a rock wall Falls (Bridle Veil) as well as an outstanding alpine lake with Mount Index looming over it and periodically depositing avalanches deposits with audible roars into the rock field just above the lake. Beautiful day with great group - perfect way to get ramped up for the Summer hiking season!
Fantastic views all around but unexpectedly high snow levels and warming temperatures stopped us short of planned goal
Approached via Winter route returned via Summer route. Warm day with soft snow, but most of the meadow either melted out or low snow
The Hertz Trail is an easy trail with views of Lake Whatcom and Waterfalls.
