Successful
A successful day hike to Mt Defiance via the Ira Spring and Mt Defiance trails.
We enjoyed perfect conditions for this moderate hike to Upper Crystal Lake. Blue bird skies, wildflowers beginning, no wind, no bugs, great temps and great company!
Gorgeous views on this hike with a bit of scrambling. A great investigatory outing for a future Nelson Ridge/Bismarck Loop.
Lead as a 2022 CHS 1 hike for July which required hikes of 10-12 miles RT, 1,500-2,500’ gain.
A nice day out to South and Middle Tigers via the lesser known and lightly traveled southern route in Tiger Mountain State Forest.
Parked at Longmire , hiked up Rampart ridge loop then up to Carter falls, return to Longmire.

4-day climb of the Emmons route. Summit on day 3 (Saturday) and leisurely hike out Sunday morning. Some thunder and lightning Saturday night and fog and brief snow storm Sunday morning added some interest. The glissade of the Inter Glacier is not to be missed!

route 100% snow free, both front and backside starts. last water just before ingalls pass. nice snow travel from ingalls pass to base of climb.
Lollipop loop snow scramble of Hidden Lake Peak N Peak via N Ridge, down S ridge and up to S (Lookout) Peak (rock+snow), then out via the (snow-covered) trail.
Successful summit day with good conditions.
Nice loop on a nice day with great views; lots of mountain goats near Ingalls Pass.
All paddlers performed to the best of their abilities with excellent group dynamics.
Backpacked into Three Lakes Camp on the Big Creek Trail in Olympic National Park. Bushwhacked up to Finley Peak Lookout Site on an abandoned trail.
