A challenging scramble of two of Washington's highest peaks on Bulger List in the Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness. Raven Ridge is also known as Libby Peak.
A great resource for finding out information about activities along Hood Canal and Lake Cushman. Meeting rooms/lecture spaces are also available for use.
Day Hiking
A 4.6 mile round trip 1,550 ft of elevation gain. The trail goes up along Tunnel Creek through old trees to two small lakes. From the lakes, head back or head southwest on the Pacific Crest Trail over Trap Pass and out Surprise Creek for 12-mile one-way day hike with a 3-mile car shuttle.
Sea Kayaking
Hope Island State Park near Olympia is one of the jewels of the south Puget Sound. It has easy access from many sea kayak launch points and is a great place for camping. This island park features a Cascade Marine Trail camp and a number of individual park campsites. A trail network on the island offers a walk through varied old growth forest. During extreme low tides (below ~2 ft), a reef east of the island is uncovered providing fascinating views of marine life.
Canyoning
Hopkins Creek is an Intermediate Canyon, usually rated v4a3III, located along the Cowlitz River on the south side of Mount Rainier. An open creek with rapid fire long rappels, the low to moderate flow makes Hopkins a good early season canyon.
Backpacking & Scrambling
Coveted by backpackers and strong hikers, Horseshoe Basin in the Pasayten Wilderness is a very strenuous 19.5 mile loop with 3,400 ft in elevation gain.

A 1.9 mile trail (3.8 miles round trip) that meanders along the banks of the mighty Nooksack River through a forest of giant moss-covered cedars, hemlocks, and firs.

An easy Grade II, 5.2 rock climb in the North Cascades near Cascade Pass.

Hubba Hubba is a Grade I-II, WI 2-3 of two or three pitches depending on condition.
Backpacking, Day Hiking & Scrambling
A moderate 9-mile one-way hike with 400 feet of elevation gain from a start at Sunrise or 3,800 feet of elevation gain from a start at Forest Road 73. Travel through old-growth forest and waterfalls, past Forest Lake, and along Huckleberry Creek with grand views of Mount Rainier and McNeeley Peak. It's also possible to loop through Sunrise and Grand Park to Lake Eleanor.

A strenuous hike in the Suiattle River Valley and Glacier Peak Wilderness. It climbs 4,900 feet in 7 miles to the site of an old lookout, now removed.
Climbing
A basic alpine climb reached by hiking the Pacific Crest Trail past Kendal Katwalk to near Edds Lake and Joe Lake in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Snoqualmie Pass.
Scrambling
This scramble varies in distance, elevation gain and difficulty according to season and snow conditions. Without snow it has 2,600 feet of elevation gain and is 5.2 miles round trip. The summit block is large talus with views of the I-90 corridor to the east.
Packrafting
Paddle 16 miles of Class III river through narrows and a gorge on the Olympic Peninsula with options for shorter runs. The river nearly always has dependable flows through the summer and the winter rainy season and is a good bet when other rivers are too low.
