Climbing one or two glaciated peaks southeast of Glacier Peak, Beginning with a flat four mile hike the approach hike takes you to Boulder Pass that overlookis the Napeequa Valley. Overshadowed by its neighbor, Clark Mountain, Luahna Peak offers a more remote, alpine feel with the same approach, but a more complicated route to its summit.

Scrambling
A challenging scramble of the highest peak in the Dakobed Range other than Glacier Peak. Clark Mountain is 49th on the Bulger 100 list. It can be scrambled from the southeast, avoiding glacier crossings via White River and Boulder Basin. This route is over 22 miles, with 6,200 feet of elevation gain, typically requiring a creek crossing, and possible biting flies at lower elevations.

Enjoy honeycombed sandstone, wind-sculpted rocks, coastal birds, tide-pool critters at low tide and views of San Juan islands. The beach, during low tide, is great for exploring and photographing the rich sea life.

Moderate ridge rambles from 10-15 miles and 1,200-2,500 feet of elevation of gain. They can be accessed from several points, including Taneum Creek, Forest Road 4510 south of Cle Elum or Forest Road 4517 west of Cle Elum. Summits include Mount Clifty, North Ridge, and Dried Tear.

Coach House (Olympia)

The Coach House in Olympia is managed by the Washington State Historical Society. It features an open 850 square foot space that is ideal for meetings and small gatherings. There is a room-length counter for setting up a buffet or presentation materials, a limited number of tables and chairs available for use, and it can hold 35-80 people depending on the setup.
