Day Hiking
An easy 3.7 mile loop hike with 360' of gain located 3.5 miles SE of Duvall, WA. The hike is a stroll through forested wetlands that features a lake at the foothills of the Cascades.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
The route follows the Highline Trail, which circumnavigates Mount Adams, along its final clockwise leg before it enters land owned by the Yakima Nation. The upper portion of the route passes through a barren volcanic landscape that gives the area its name.

Three intermediate-level, Grade II ice climbing routes on Mount Adams–Adams Glacier, North Lyman Glacier, and North Face of Northwest Ridge.
Climbing
A moderate 4,300 foot glacier climb up 35 degree slopes. Much of the approach, and the entire glacier climb lies within the Yakama Nation. Climb can be done in a long day. Many climbers have difficulties with the altitude. Times: 3-4 hr trailhead to camp, 5 hr camp to summit.
Scrambling
Mount Adams via the South Spur is a strenuous 14 mile snow scramble to the summit of one of Washington's volcanoes, with 6,600 feet of elevation gain, commonly done in two days.
Day Hiking
A strenuous, 12 mile round trip day hike with 4,200 feet of elevation gain. The trail ascends with a few switchbacks to views of Mount Rainier.
Climbing
This is a pleasant glacier trip with excellent views of the Olympic Range and Puget Sound area. Mount Anderson via the Eel Glacier is Grade I, class 3. Times: Trailhead to Camp 7-9 hrs, Camp to Summit 5-7 hrs.

Mount Angeles is a scramble of 6 miles with 1,924 feet of gain.

Mount Angeles via the East Face is a moderate alpine climb.

Located in central Oregon, the ski area and Nordic center offer groomed resort skiing and Nordic skiing, and allows limited in-bounds uphill travel.
Day Hiking & Scrambling
A challenging trip that is mostly trail hiking with easy scrambling along the final half mile. It's 10 miles round trip with 3,100 feet of elevation gain. Mount Bailey is a major peak west of Mount Thielsen near Diamond Lake in Oregon's central Cascades. There are interesting volcanic features including a hidden crater and a natural rock arch along the summit ridge that frames Mount Thielsen.

Walk through Colman Park, Seattle's northern Mount Baker neighborhood and the I-90 East Portal viewpoint.
Climbing
A mutli-use area on the south flank of Mount Baker. Much of the Easton Glacier lies within this area, as does the Squak glacier. The open crevasses and seracs are great for glacier travel, crevasse rescue and ice climbing training.

Home to groomed resort skiing and access to some fantastic backcountry ski routes. In late winter and early spring the slopes are perfect training grounds for practicing ice axe arrest and other snow travel techniques.
Climbing
This east side route has an arduous approach followed by a moderate 5,200 feet glacier climb with crevasses to negotiate and and a bergschrund to cross. Yet the remoteness, great views of Mount Shuksan, and overall beauty, make this an exceptional climb. Times: 4-5 hr trailhead to camp, 5-7 hr camp to summit.
Backcountry Skiing & Climbing
This route gains 7,000 feet in a distance of 5.5 miles, climbing the moderate Coleman Glacier, the top part of the Deming Glacier, and Roman Wall before reaching the flat summit plateau. Views from camp and the summit are spectacular. Times: 3-4 hr trailhead to camp, 6-9 hr camp to summit.
