Mineral Butte is a scramble with 5,255 feet of gain near Mount Index.
Canyoning
A gorgeous intermediate canyon (v3a4III) that makes for a fun and relatively short day.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
Hike or backpack to Park Lakes in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. From there head north for south on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) for great views. It's also possible to start at the Kachess Lake Campground for an enjoyable hike along the lake.
Scrambling
A moderate scramble with a long approach, 25 miles and 5,500 feet of elevation gain, to a lesser-known peak on the north side of Mount Rainier.
Backpacking & Scrambling
A multi-day trip to the famed Image Lake area with a scramble of 7870-foot Plummer Mountain east of the lake. The approach along the Suiattle River is long but beautiful. It's 35 miles rounf trip with 6,400 feet of elevation gain.
Day Hiking
This loop hikes brings together three hikes in one: Mink Lake, Little Divide and Deer Lake. It's 13.6 miles and 2,500 feet of elevation gain. Enjoy views of Mount Olympus and Bogachiel Peak while hiking up and a relaxing walk along the Sol Duc River on the way back to the trailhead.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
Hike to a stunning lake high in Oregon's Wallowa Mountains with Eagle Cap Peak reflected in the still water. Enjoy as a day or overnight trip to Mirror Lake and many of the other lakes in Lakes Basin.
Day Hiking
Take "hiker's route" a strenuous, 6 mile round trip hike with 2,100 feet of elevation gain to a summit in the Snoqualmie Pass area. The trail skirts Cottonwood and Mirror Lakes before ascending the rocky ridge to the top of Tinkham Peak. Hiking only to Mirror Lake is 3 miles and 800 feet of elevation gain round trip.
Backcountry Skiing, Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding & Snowshoeing
A ski resort near Wenatchee that features groomed resort skiing as well as access to backcountry ski routes. The resort also has an avalanche beacon training park for skills practice.
Sea Kayaking
The Missouri River Breaks Wild and Scenic river is a 149 mile paddle that flows through pretty canyons in Montana. This follows the historic Lewis and Clark route and has nice side hikes and history to explore.
Climbing
A glacier crossing on the approach; 3rd, 4th and mid-5th class climbing on the east face; a overhanging rappel on the descent - lots of challenges on this route. The approach hike takes you up to Cascade Pass, with spectacular views of glaciated peaks and alpine meadows. Rockfall is a serious hazard on both the ascent and the descent. Times: 7-9 hr from trailhead to summit.

Day Hiking & Urban Adventure
This public beach has several access points, driving and parking vehicles is allowed on the beach, and it is open for razor clamming at times of year set by the Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife.
Climbing
Molar Tooth is located between Cutthroat Peak and Cutthroat Pass. Climbing consists of several short low 5th class pitches up the west rib and several more to the summit.
Urban Adventure
Walk through the various plants and flowers in Molbak's gardens.
Snowshoeing
A snowshoe up a road, direct ridge ascent, or a loop up the ridge and down the road. It's 9 miles with 1,530 feet of elevation gain.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
Grand panoramic mountain scenery and glacier-clad peaks in British Columbia's Purcell Range. Scenic tarns, lakes, and subalpine forests adorn the area. This is a premier trail for abundant colorful wildflowers in summer, as well as glorious golden larches in the fall.
Canyoning
A classic canyon in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. It is rated v3a3III from mid-August through September (before fall rains).
Backpacking & Day Hiking
Hike abondoned road along the South Fork Sauk River to the old mining town of Monte Cristo. Enjoy relics of the bygone mining era and return or continue on to Glacier Basin or Silver Lake and then Twin Lakes.
