A great hike along old logging roads with wonderful views, 9 mi and 2,300 ft of elevation gain. It's only 20 mi east of Kent and 7 mi east of Maple Valley.

Packrafting
A class 3 whitewater run of 8.3 miles with a 49 feet per mile gradient through a forested landscape. Continuous type flow with almost nonstop rapids. Starts at Olallie Campground, or alternatively Frissell boat ramp for a shorter run that starts below Fish Ladder Rapid.
This fire station serves as a convenient location for meetings, seminars, courses, etc.

Enjoy the short, 1.5 mi loop trail in the Capitol State Forest near Olympia. It's one of the finest nature trails in western Washington.

McLeod Mountain is a high peak (one of the 200 highest in Washington) north of Mazama with wide views in all directions. There is no trail, but apart from a bit of brush at the beginning, most of the trip is a hike on open ridges.

A strenuous climb in the Southern Pickets with 8,000 feet of elevation gain.

Meadow Mountain trail is a fabulously scenic route deep in the Glacier Peak Wilderness that traverses a high alpine ridge between Glacier Peak and White Chuck Mountain. The trail follows the ridge line for miles in this seldom-visited wilderness. Enjoy awe-inspiring views of Glacier Peak, White Chuck Mountain, Sloan Peak and neighboring mountains.

This short, but intense, hike is for fans of unmaintained and abandoned trails and views from abandoned fire lookout sites. It’s 6 miles and 1,800 feet elevation of gain round trip to an abandoned, seldom visited fire lookout site south of Snoqualmie Pass.
