What a special day traveling thru Avalanche safe terrain in untracked snow to a place few, if any have visited since the Mowich road closed in the Fall.
A good day of learning and sailing in brisk conditions.
An early season off trail excursion to a popular summer destination.
Great Sail #2 with mostly light winds. All objectives accomplished.
Great day skiing fresh snow in Mayvember on various lines around Bullion Basin.
This Day Hike to Lena Lake was for the Olympia Branch CHS course. The day started off sunny at 8:30 but ended up cloudy with light rain by the time we finished. As always the lake was beautiful, especially with fresh snow on some of the mountains around the lake.
Muddy and an adventure in puddle hopping. Still a wonderous classic in Seattle's backyard that is reminiscent of Jurassic Park.
A fun late winter hike with Olympia CHS students on a spring day in May!
Pleasant evening hike to Debbie's View for dinner.
We hiked to the top of Umtanum Ridge from the Yakima River trailhead for Umtanum Canyon by way of the Vista Trail. Once on the road along the spine of the ridge we hiked west to Wenas Point and east to Umtanum Point. Flowers were out, meadowlarks were singing and the landscape and views gorgeous. We encountered just a handful of other parties.
Beautiful cool spring weather and good company makes for a happy day
Really challenging conditions but still a successful summit and snow scramble credit for 3 students
A rollicking great downwind paddle with 10-20kt from the southwest and a good current push. Great wind wave surfing for most of the trip and fun rolling and play in conditions at the end.
12 mile round trip along the Middle Fork of he Snoqualmie River. 5 hikers in total, very rainy day, lots of mud and one moderate level tributary crossing on a rainy day.
The crew was attentive and we covered a lot of information. They demonstrated their knowledge especially in the setting up the boat, striking the boat and handling the mock tacking. A Great group of people. We had lots of fun.
Debbie's View to West Peak to Bullitt Firepace, the route less traveled
Awesome day caring for and exploring this beautiful prairie!
Perfect weather for an evening hike and dinner at the Bullitt fireplace.
Due to one of the ferry's service outage, we move the trip to Hood Canal. Despite the last minute change, we had a enjoyable time in a pretty area.
A really enjoyable spring paddle on a changeable pleasant day with really good company for the maiden voyage of Bill's new boat!
