Scrambling
A very beautiful, very strenuous, and comprehensive tour of the upper Enchantments for very experienced scramblers with a high level of conditioning. The 8,000 foot elevation gain of this trip sees it all via the seldom visited Toketie Lake, Toketie Pass, Pogo Col, upper Enchantment Lakes, Aasgard Pass, and Lake Colchuck.
A National Forest campground at mile eight on Icicle Creek Road just outside of Leavenworth. It's a great base camp for hiking and climbing in the Leavenworth area.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
A strenuous hike or backpack of up to 16 miles and 4,600 feet of elevation gain in The Enchantments area of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The trail follows Eightmile Creek steeply to Lake Caroline after Little Eightmile Lake. Continue past Lake Caroline to Little Lake Caroline and then Windy Pass to extend your trip. From Eightmile Lake scramble Eightmile Mountain, one of the higher peaks in the Stuart Range.

Translated as "The Little Corral," this is one of the largest big wall sport climbing destinations in the world. It boasts over 650 sport climbing routes with more than 140 of them being multipitch. Situated on the edge of the Chihuahua Desert in northern Mexico near Hidalgo in Nuevo León, the area enjoys prime climbing weather from November through February.

Sea kayak in an inlet in the southern part of Puget Sound near Olympia and enjoy exploring tidal estuaries with productive shellfish populations at the southernmost tip.

A truly inspiring glacier climb with a gnarly "kinda wide" log crossing, a strenuous approach through talus and boulders to camp with 4,000 ft of elevation gain, and ending with an exhilarating knife-edge snow ridge leading to the true summit. Views into the North Cascades are tremendous. Times: 5-6 hr trailhead to camp, 3-5 hr camp to summit.
