This course will go over the common medical issues or emergencies that can be seen while hiking and backpacking. Prevention of the issues is highlighted but common first aid treatment is reviewed if an issue does occur. Common items that may be in a personal first aid kit that you can put in a pack is discussed along with how to contact the local Emergency Medical System if needed.
