CANCELED - Ocean City State Park Car Camp

We will hike around Damon Point on Saturday, camp Saturday night at Ocean City State Park and hike on Sunday in nearby Griffiths-Priday State Park at Copalis Beach. Registration for the car camp is by registering for the two day hikes. Anyone registering for one of the day hikes must also register for the other day hike and for the overnight. Compliance is monitored by requiring leader permission for both day hikes.

Experience two scenic hikes with wildlife viewing opportunities, Damon Point Loop hike on Saturday and Griffiths-Priday State Park on Sunday.  Both are four miles with no elevation gain.  Saturday night we camp at popular Ocean City State Park in five adjoining campsites.  Camp fees will be divided equitably among all participants.  Campsite fee receipts are the parking permits for the campground and both trailheads.  

Registration for the car camp is by registering for the two related day hikes.  Anyone registering for one of the day hikes must also register for the other one and participate in the Saturday night encampment at Ocean City State Park.

Meet at 11:30 AM Saturday at the entrance booth for the Ocean City State Park Campground.  After setting up camp, we will caravan to the Damon Point trailhead.  After checking out from the campground on Sunday morning, we will drive to the trailhead parking lot for Griffiths-Priday State Park.  Following Sunday's hike we will have the option for a hot lunch at the nearby Green Lantern Tavern with outdoor seating in their back yard.
