North Olympics Car Camp

Explore the most popular areas of the north Olympics on a two day car camp, day hiking Saturday to Dungeness Spit, camping Saturday night at Dungeness Campground and day hiking Sunday to Sunrise Ridge on Hurricane Ridge. Registration is on the two day hike listings on the ACTIVITIES menu. Anyone registering for one day hike must register for the other one and camp Saturday night in Dungeness Campground in one of the reserved campsites. Campsite fees will be equally shared.

This is the opportunity to experience the two most popular areas of the north Olympics in one weekend.  After Saturday's hike to the Dungeness Spit lighthouse and back, we will set up camp in the three reserved campsites, have a camp dinner, followed by smores around the fire and enjoy sunset views.  Sunday morning we'll have a camp breakfast, break camp and drive to Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center, displaying a National Park Pass for each car at the Olympic National Park entrance gate.  After hiking to Sunrise Ridge and back, we'll explore the Visitor Center.  On the drive home we'll have the option for a meal stop at the Asian Buffet Restaurant, the Hi-Way 101 Diner or Fat Smitty's Restaurant, depending on where we are at meal time.
