After School Climbing Camp - Tuesdays - Tacoma - 2021

Youth Program

After School Climbing Camp

A weekly camp that meets from 3-5:30pm to work on rock climbing and other outdoor skills. This camp will run for 9 weeks.

After-School Climbing Club is a small group that meets one day a week in the afternoon at the Tacoma Mountaineers Program Center. This group primarily will work on rock climbing on our outdoor climbing wall, but will also learn rope skills such as belaying, rappelling, prusiking, knots, and other general outdoor skills as well.

The intent of this group is to get kids involved in in-person, outdoor activities in a safe manner during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also providing a few hours of childcare for parents during the week. Groups will consist of 6 kids and 1-3 staff and volunteers.

Activities will be primarily outdoors. If activities are able to move indoors, masks must be worn at all times.

Please note that the spring Tuesday session consists of 9 weeks; that is why the Monday session is a different price than the Tuesday session this spring.
