Lecture: Saturday December 5, 2020 1:00PM - 4:00PM via Online Classroom

Students who are taking this course concurrently with the Basic Snowshoe  Course will need to submit a request to register for both December 5th lectures.  Please  contact the instruction team at snowshoeing.tacoma@gmail.com.

A 2.5 hour presentation on gear, gear selection and overview of snow structure construction.

We will cover pitching a tent on snow, and building snow structures such as, snow caves and trenches. We will also cover equipment, clothing, food, winter first aid concerns and tips and tricks on how to make a winter overnight an enjoyable experience.
