Train-the-Trainer - Hobuck Beach

Train the Trainer for the Hobuck Surf Zone Clinic

  • Moderate

Meet at the Beach in front of the campground dressed and ready to train at 9:00 AM.

Interested in helping to teach the Surf Zone Clinics at this year's Surf Zone Week at Hobuck?  If you are planning to help with the surf zone clinics you must attend this TTT session.

This session is designed to help instructors learn new skills and tactics to help their students survive and thrive in the surf zone. The focus is to add skills to your own personal toolbox while Trainers model the way those skills are taught. There will also be time to meet with the instructors you will be working with and create a game plan for the clinics you are helping to teach.

Optional training in surf-specific craft (white water boats, wave-skis, sit-on-tops, high performance surf boats) will be offered on Sunday June 7 from 9-2. Hamp All will be the guest instructor for that session. If you want to participate but don't have an appropriate boat let Melinda know ASAP so we can plan on having one available.

You must hold the Basic Sea Kayaking badge, or equivalency. You must have some experience yourself in the surf zone but instructors at all levels are being sought.
