 Parking lot behind The Warmhouse cafe, Neah Bay, ready to paddle at 9 AM.

Everyone that signs up for this paddle or clinic needs to ALSO sign up for the June 10 - 14 Sea Kayak -- Hobuck (ie, Surf Zone and Beyond) activity so we have a head count of everyone who's coming (even if you are just coming for part of it) and everyone must bring their ID and proof of vaccination to be admitted to the Makah Reservation.

  One day of on-water and on-beach instruction regarding incident management and prevention.  Clinic will cover multiple self and assisted re-entries, use of short and long tow systems, and incident scenarios. This will be a full day, and you will be in the water a lot.

Must be a mountaineers member.  

Must show proof of being COVID-19 vaccinated.

Required Equipment

The mountaineers standard 10 essentials.

Sea Kayak with full perimeter deck lines and sealed front and rear hatches (flotation). 

Properly fitting Coast Guard approved PFD with attached whistle. 

Paddle that floats. 

Properly fitting spray skirt.

Dry suit with suitable thermal protection clothing.

 Helmet and Gloves. 

Spare clothes in dry bag, lunch and water, snacks for on-water, paddle float.

Boat repair kit (bring what you think you'll need)

Lots of on-water snacks.

vhf radio, if you have one.  We will instruct how to use them.
