Expected Launch time is 10:00, arrive early enough to get all your gear ready in time for launch.
State park, no need for Discover Pass.
Note: This class is subject to wind and wind waves. Class will be cancelled for wind >15 kts or wind waves >3 ft.
Ladies Only Rock Gardening.
Prerequisites: you must be a woman, Basic Sea Kayaking Badge required. Should have some experience in mildly dynamic conditions, please call Alison Reinbold, 253-279-2825 to discuss your skill level and determine if this clinic is for you.
Rock Gardening skills, rescues and safety.
Learn directional control strokes, blended strokes and application for the dynamic environment.
Learn safety issues associated with playing in and among the rocks. There will be an emphasis on safety.
Practice rescues and learn how to modify them and choose among them for the conditions encountered.
