Camping available at nearby Crescent Bay area at either Salt Creek State Park or private campground adjacent.
You need experience in dynamic water and have been kayaking in rock garden areas to take this clinic, as this is winter conditions. If you just graduated last summer from a Basic SK class you will have to have had a mercurial escalation of skills to participate. Surf Zone experience required as we will probably end up with some surf landings.
Rock Gardening skills, rescues and safety.
Learn directional control strokes, blended strokes and application for the dynamic environment.
Learn safety issues associated with playing in among the rocks.
Practice rescues and learn how to modify them and choose among them for the conditions encountered.
