Kayak Repairs & Enhancements - Online Classroom
On-line seminar showing (mostly) what to bring along for a boat and gear repair kit, for everything from day trips to multi-day. Could you repair a hole in your boat? A broken rudder or skeg cable? A torn neck gasket? Do you have replacement bolts for the kayak? What else could you possibly need? Do you know how to use it?

When I was starting out, I asked my mentor what he brings along for emergency repairs; he answered "a roll of duct tape". In the intervening 15 years, I've learned a few things from my fellow Mountaineers and professional instructors. I've even changed out a skeg cable in the middle of a two week remote trip.
I now carry a lot...maybe too much. You can pick and choose from my list.
Speaking of lists, I took a page from Sheila Lally's first aid kit clinic and I now have everything documented on a laminated card in each of two small drybags of repair materials. I'll share that by email the day before, along with an expanded version that is for you to print out and take notes on if desired.
Experienced voyagers welcome to attend and share anything I am missing.
Zoom meeting. Link will be sent out one day prior to the classroom.
