Introduction to Hiking - Online Classroom

Join us to learn about the basics of having a safe and enjoyable hike. This session is for people who are new to hiking or new to hiking in the Pacific Northwest. We'll cover the 10 essentials as well as other helpful tips for day hiking. A guest speaker from Pierce County Search & Rescue will join us to share some experiences and lessons learned.

This seminar will be held virtually via Zoom at 6:30pm.  The Zoom link will be sent out at 5pm the day before.

This session is primarily designed for those who are new to hiking or new to hiking in the PacNW, however everyone is welcome.  

We'll cover the 10 essentials, how to find hikes in your area, helpful gear as well as other tips to having a safe and fun hike.
