Award-winning author and intrepid adventurer Craig Romano describes the trails he explored while writing Day Hiking: North Cascades (2nd edition). This guide covers Mount Baker, the North Cascades Highway (SR 20) corridor, North Cascades National Park, Winthrop and the Methow Valley, the Pasayten Wilderness area, parts of Glacier Peak Wilderness, and the Mountain Loop Highway. If you are looking for routes that are 12 miles or shorter round-trip, accessible from highways and other travel corridors, Craig's talk will give you lots of good ideas.

The updated edition of Day Hiking: North Cascades now features 136 hikes, 30 of them new to this volume. Craig revisited these hikes and expanded some of the routes as well, and many of his favorites are not included in any other guide. Come and be among the first to put these trails on your Spring itinerary! Copies of the guide are available through Mountaineers Books and for cash purchase only at the event.
