Who's excited to do some beach walking? I know I am!

After we meet up at the trailhead we will be hiking about three miles to our camp for the night, Sand Point. In the morning we will break camp and with favorable low tides, we will hike along the the beach and the rocky headlands another roughly three miles. There will be time for exploring the petroglyphs at Wedding Rocks and the sea stacks and rock formations along the beach before completing the loop with another three miles back to the trailhead from Cape Alava.

We will be camping in Olympic National Park and in an area where bear canisters are required. The permit fee for camping in the park is $8 per person which can be paid to the leader. The permit has already been arranged by the leader.
