A moderate, 6-mile round trip day hike with 1,300 ft of elevation gain to the lower lake. The trail goes up through forests above Lena Creek to a secluded lake. This is a beautiful sub-alpine lake formed by a massive rock slide 5,000 years ago.

Please pack your ten essentials including lunch. We will hike at an easy/moderate pace (around 2.0 mph) and take breaks to appreciate the views and photo ops. We’ll have lunch and rest at the lake before retracing our steps back to the trailhead. Parts of this trail are somewhat steep and there are some obstacles (roots, large rocks) on the trail.
