Day Hike - Point Defiance Park

Trip will initially open to Tacoma Branch Conditioning Hiking Students. Trip will open for registration to all Mountaineers, based on availability, 7-10 days prior to date of the hike. Forest hike with multiple views of Puget Sound, changing leaves and hopefully some wildlife.

Meet at 10:00 AM at the picnic table by the restrooms at the duck pond near the Main Entrance to the Park (on your left as you enter the park). 5400 N Pearl St, Tacoma, WA 98407 

No parking pass is required.

An easy forest hike close to home! We will be hiking counterclockwise-on the outer (blue square) loop. We will pass by several viewpoints and stop for lunch at Fort Nisqually keeping an eye out for wildlife.

Restrooms at the meeting place (by the duck pond), by Ft. Nisqually, at the Gig Harbor Overlook.
