This is a 7 mile conditioning hike set at a moderate pace of 2+ mph.
The Cougar Mountain Red Town Trailhead has a lot of gentle connecting trails. We will do a loop hike that starts out and ends from of the Red Town Trailhead parking lot. There is excellent trail signage on Cougar MTN so you can practice your navigation skills if you choose (signage, paper map, and/or GPS map). You can print off a Cougar MTN map from a link that I will include in the Hello Hiker Letter.
As this is an early morning 3-4 hour hike, there is no need to pack a lunch. Just pack water and snacks. We will be done hiking by noon.
