 practice. Location: Lower Coleman seracs\, Camp Mirkwood.\n\nThis field tr
 ip is an introduction to climbing steep\, hard alpine ice of the type foun
 d on typical Cascade ice climbs\, alpine climbs\, and some glacier climbs.
  During the field trip you will learn to use ice screws\, learn to climb w
 ith ice tools\, learn the footwork and cramponing needed for steeper ice\,
  practice steep ice climbing movement\, practice mock leading and leading 
 grade 2 and  grade 3 ice\, test your limitations on grade 4 and grade 5 ic
 e routes (top roped) and undergo assessment swinging leads with a partner 
 on a grade 2 ice route.
