Lecture 3 will introduce travel, camping, and ice axe considerations for different snow conditions.  We will also introduce the GAR system for group check-ins during a climb, and briefly talk about a key element of LNT (Leave No Trace) principles.  (The remaining LNT principles will be completed by the student, individually, through the Mountaineers online course or equivalent).
